Suemori-san Wants to Look Cool!

Shinya Magawa enters high school desperate to escape his cringe middle-school past and become a "cool guy." He finds his ultimate role model in Mei Suemori, an aloof, intelligent beauty who seems totally unbothered by others, brewing siphon coffee in the classroom and reading complex literature in the library. Overwhelmed with genuine awe, Shinya showers her with starry-eyed praise ("You're so incredibly cool!"). The hilarious catch? Suemori-san isn't actually aloof at all, she's just a massive pretender playing up a cool persona!
