Pandora Hearts
The Abyss, a horrifying world inhabited by monstrous creatures called Chains, resembles a broken toy box. Many believe it to be a mere legend used to frighten misbehaving children. Oz Vessalius, the playful and cheerful heir to the Vessalius family, is among those who believed the tales until the Baskerville Clan condemns him to the Abyss during his coming-of-age ceremony for a crime he did not commit nor remember. To escape, Oz strikes a pact with Alice, an extraordinary Chain who can manifest as human. However, his journey back home is fraught with ceaseless despair as he and his comrades unravel the mysteries of his wrongdoing, the Abyss, and a hundred-year-old tragedy. They are confronted by the Baskervilles and vengeful spirits from the past. The volume also includes a one-shot story called Pandora Hearts (Pilot).
