The story begins in the aftermath of Leonide being chased away by fearful townspeople. A well-meaning "good samaritan" discovers her unresponsive and attempts to transport her to a doctor via wagon. However, when the wagon finally reaches its destination, the drivers have been mysteriously mummified, and Leonide is gone - leaving behind only a single, strange seed. As a mystified doctor discovers the seed has begun to sprout into a mysterious flower, he feels an unnatural pull to return it to the girl’s ancestral home. This journey leads to a dark, gothic castle where the search for the missing girl uncovers her horrifying family heritage and the true nature of her bloodline.
